Title: The Turbulent, Radial Wall Jet: Effect of Impinging Jet Conditions
Abstract: Experimental and computational studies are presented of impinging jet flows. The radial wall jet growth has been found to be dependent on nozzle height and pressure ratio, across the range of conditions tested. Turbulence level in the wall jet does not vary with nozzle height but the free jet turbulence level just before impingement increases with increasing nozzle height. Numerical modelling has investigated the effect of modifications to the k-e turbulence model, from the point of view of predicting radial wall jet growth.
