Title: Storytelling: narratives of the mind and modes of religiousity
Abstract: Storytelling seems to be a fundamental feature of human existence. Paul Hernadi, for example, points out in a recent article that storytelling and narratives are such widespread phenomena, that they could justifiably be included in the list of human universals.2 But, our craving for narratives goes deeper than this. It is embedded in our mental representations of whatever happens around us.3 In other words, our mind has a narrative drive, and creating narratives is our way of connecting with our environment.4
