Title: Português e Castelhano no Brasil quinhentista à volta dos Jesuítas
Abstract: This article highlights the relevance of Luso-Castilian bilinguism in the missions founded by the Jesuit Company in the Brazilian coast throughout the second half of 16th Century (1549-1600). The analysis is focused on texts written by several jesuits, in particular those written by the Portuguese Manuel da Nobrega and by the Spaniard Jose de Anchieta.
