Title: Tools for Life Cycle Assessment and Ecodesign
Abstract: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a methodology to assess the environmental impacts of products. In an LCA the environmental impacts in all stages of the product life, from cradle to grave, are taken into account. The execution of a LCA is however often a time consuming process. Software tools can speed up the LCA of products considerably. The first professional software tools are available now. This article gives an impression of the tools and the methodologies used.
