Title: Mechanisms of antiproton interactions at low and high energies
Abstract: It is shown that a large interaction radius of p-barp interaction at low energies is a consequence of unitarization of the scattering amplitude: a phenomenon analogous to what is expected at ultrahigh energies. In both cases the scattering amplitude has the form of a black-disk amplitude. Without resorting to adjustable parameters we have calculated the slope, the total and differential cross sections for elastic scattering, and the real part of the forward scattering amplitude.
