Title: Techniques of pneumonectomy. Completion pneumonectomy.
Abstract: Completion pneumonectomy refers to an operation intended to remove what is left of a lung partially resected during previous surgery. Completion pneumonectomy is a technically demanding procedure, which carries an increased operative mortality and morbidity. If the planning and the surgical technique are done meticulously, the good prospect for long-term survival justifies the higher risk.
