Abstract: Effect of naphtalene-1-acetic acid on growth of the container-produced ornamental shrubs and development of their root system. The aim of this work was to evaluate an effect of watering plants with the water solutions of naphthalene-1-acetic acid (NAA) on regeneration of root system in re-potted shrubs as well as on growth of the above-soil plant parts of two ornamental shrubs grown in containers. This paper present results concerning Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Diabolo’ and Chamaecyparis lawsoniana ‘Columnaris’. Response to the auxin application was species dependent. The best effects were observed after watering plants with the auxin in concentration 100 mg·dm–3 when used in concentration 400 mg·dm–3 NAA slowed down growth in certain
