The study of two cases of...This article aims to describe the types of work offered by two cooperatives under the light of the concepts of Decent Work postulated by the International Labor Organization. The study of two cases of Associated Work Cooperatives in the cities of Medellin, Colombia and Sao Paulo, Brazil were taken as main axes of our analysis. We introduce the cooperatives, in particular, the associated work cooperatives (AWC), as one of the alternatives for offsetting the flexibility of the working market. In consequence, we explain the concept of decent work as a tool that help us identifying the existence of job insecurity and its instruments for the analysis on micro levels, known as People's Security Survey (PSS). Later, all collected data is systematized in a Decent Work index (DWI) for the micro level, under the perspective of decent work, which guideline is based on seven types of security in the labour market such as indicated by the Labor International Organization.Read More
