Abstract: The experimental modelling of cracking in early-age concrete in the framework of fracture mechanics of partially saturated porous media. A general concept of net effective stress is used in take into account effects of moisture suction and material damage on controlled tensile stress induced plastic concrete deformation. Comparisons between this theses experimental data and earlier results are presented to show how various concrete mixes behave under tensile loading.
