Title: Avaliação do desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor com a aplicação da Escala Motora Infantil Alberta: Série de casos
Abstract: Objetivo: avaliar o desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor de crianças atendidas na clínica escola de fisioterapia da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba, por meio da aplicação da Escala Motora Infantil de Alberta (AIMS). Metodologia: Trata-se de uma série de casos, de caráter descritivo, com uma abordagem quantitativa e transversal, desenvolvido em uma Clínica Escola de Fisioterapia. A amostra consiste em crianças sem diagnóstico clínico, inscritas para atendimento fisioterapêutico. Os instrumentos utilizados foram uma ficha de avaliação sociodemográfica e a AIMS. Essa pesquisa foi submetida ao Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da UEPB e foi aprovada com o número CAAE: 74237223.1.0000.5187. Resultados: Foram incluídas quatro crianças, todas nascidas por cesariana, duas a termo e duas pré-termo, sendo uma pré-termo extremo e outra pré-termo tardio. Todas as mães relataram ter feito pré-natal de forma adequada e gestações desejadas, embora não planejadas. Houve queixa de distúrbios do sono em três crianças. Com relação à avaliação do desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor, duas foram caracterizadas como desenvolvimento atípico e duas como desenvolvimento suspeito. Conclusão: as crianças incluídas no estudo, mesmo na ausência de qualquer tipo de diagnóstico clínico, apresentaram déficits no desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor. Utilizar a AIMS mostrou-se importante não só para os profissionais, que podem planejar intervenções adequadas com base nos resultados, mas também para os pais e cuidadores, contribuindo para potencializar o desenvolvimento infantil também no ambiente domiciliar.
