Characterisation techniques established the successful synthesis of ultra-fine, crystalline alumina nanofibers and confirmed the binding of the heavy metals to the nanofiber. Batch adsorption tests proved the removal of lead and mercury to be highly successful, removing almost 100 per cent of the ions at a concentration of 2.5mg per L.Read More
