Abstract: Interview guides consist of either questions, topics or a combination that run from unstructured to highly structured. Depending on researcher preferences, the interview guide will use one of these methods. One of the most common interview guide methods is a semi‐structured interview where many precise questions and their follow‐up questions are listed along with a few topic areas. Interviewer(s) should be flexible with their interview to permit participants to expand on their initial answers. This allows for the inclusion of additional rich data to the research study.
