This chapter provides a brief presentation of commitment and job satisfaction. The high-commitment human resource management (HRM) practices positively influence work commitment, in particular affective commitment. Job satisfaction is understood as the positive emotions resulting from a work experience. The chapter gives an overview of the results of the studies focused on HRM practices and their influence on commitment and job satisfaction, crossing them with the recommendations of experts and practitioners in the hotel and restaurant industry. Work on commitment and satisfaction has long shown that the perception of support from the organization, the proximity manager and relations with colleagues are very important factors.
