Title: The Effect of Physical Activity-Based Smoking-Prevention Program on Thought and Attitude towards Smoking in Adolescent
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to scientifically verify the effect of the physical activity-based smoking -prevention program on thought and attitude towards smoking in adolescent. The program in this study as intervention was a game-centered program for junior high school student to be applied TGfU model and GCAs theory. Verifications of the program was conducted with 87 junior highschool students and independent variables were group, test, and gender in which dependent variables were attitude towards smoking, non-smoking plan, and confidence in smoking-situation. 3×2×2 Three Way Mixed ANOVA was conducted to analyze data. At the results of verifications, a group to be applied physical activity-based smoking-prevention program showed statistically higher effects of attitude towards smoking [F (2,72) =3.919, P=.005], non-smoking plan[F (2,72)=4.546, P=.002], confidence in smoking-situation[F (2,72)= 3.072, P=.018], and satisfaction towards program[F (2,72)=9.577, P=.000] than the other two groups. The use of the physical activity-based smoking-prevention program in the real school will reduce a negative effects related in adolescents
