Title: Liquid‐liquid equilibrium for the ternary systems water + DMM<sub>3</sub> + (<i>p</i>‐xylene, toluene, and <i>n</i>‐heptane) at different temperatures
Abstract: Abstract In order to reduce the decomposition of DMM 3 , the DMM 3 aqueous solution was separated by liquid‐liquid extraction. Liquid‐liquid equilibria (LLE) data for three ternary systems of water + DMM 3 + p ‐xylene, water + DMM 3 + toluene, and water + DMM 3 + n ‐heptane were measured under atmospheric pressure at 303.15 K and 313.15 K. The results indicated that p ‐xylene, toluene, and n ‐heptane showed excellent extraction ability for separating DMM 3 aqueous solution. Moreover, the LLE data were correlated by NRTL and UNIQUAC models with good agreement.
