Title: Analysis of soil fauna data in the highlands of the Sudan and Ethiopia
Abstract: Previously published records of soil fauna collections in some regions of the Sudan (Jebel Marra and Red Sea coast) and Ethiopian highlands were treated by multivariate analysis in order to discover patterns in their distributions. Results of the study give an insight into the distribution patterns of the soil fauna species in these two countries, in relation to geographical position and site characteristics (altitude, land-use, bioclimate, etc.). This study gives a clearer picture of the relatonships between the distribution of species on one hand, and environmental factors and site characteristics on the other.
