Title: Stratigraphie du Marduel (Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard). VI- Les niveaux du Bronze final au milieu du Ve s. av. n. è. sur le Chantier Central
Abstract: Ce sixième volet de l'étude des fouilles du Chantier Central sur l'oppidum du Marduel (Saint-Bonnet, Gard) est consacré aux débuts de l'histoire de ce site, du Bronze final II au milieu du Ve siècle avant notre ère. Les auteurs présentent les témoins d'une occupation discontinue de la colline au Bronze final II, au Bronze final IIIb et au début de l'Age du fer, puis analysent la mise en place à la fin du VIe siècle d'un habitat permanent, pourvu dès l'origine d'une fortification et d'une voie charretière aménagée ; deux phases architecturales caractérisées par la présence de constructions en pierre sont ensuite décrites. Outre l'analyse des structures bâties et l'inventaire des mobiliers domestiques, cet article comprend l'étude d'une importante série de stèles et piliers taillés, ainsi que d'un buste mutilé mais incontestablement sculpté en ronde bosse, l'ensemble de ces documents lapidaires remontant au moins au VIe siècle avant notre ère.
