Title: Comparison of Two Surgical Treatments of Chronic Otitis Media of Cholesteatoma
Abstract: Objective To observe and analyze the curative effect of two surgical treatments of cholesteatoma otitis media. Methods 78 patients with chronic otitis media of cholesteatoma receiving surgical treatment in our hospital from June 2009 to June 2012 were chosen and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, each group including 39 patients, with the treatment of intact canal wall mastoidectomy and open radical mastoidectomy respectively. Results The AC and ABG of the two groups were significantly reduced after surgery(P 0.05),and the data in the observation group were significantly lower than that in the control group(P 0.05).The observation group was superior to the control group in complications and relapsing, and the tympanic membrane grew better after the surgery. There was a significant difference between the two groups(χ2 = 17.01,P 0.01).Conclusion Chronic otitis media of cholesteatoma treated by intact canal wall mastoidectomy has a higher value of popularization and application.
