Title: Study on bioavailability and bioequivalence of cefixime tablets in healthy volunteers
Abstract: Objective: To study the bioavailability and the bioequivalence of cefixime tablets. Methods: A single oral dose of 200mg cefixine tablets and cefixime capsules(cef span) was given to 20 healthy volunteers in a randomized crossover study. Cefixime concentrations in plasma were determined by HPLC . The pharmacokinetics parameters and bioavailability were calculated with 3p97. Results: The limit of quantification was Ing. The linear range of cefixime was 0.1-5.0 μug/ml ( r=0.9993). The average recovery rate of cefixime was 96.67%, RSD=3.17%. T1/2ke of cefixime tablets and cefixime capsules were (4.98 ±0.58)h and (5.28±0.77)h. Tmax were (4.7 ±0.6)h and (4.6±0.9)h.. Cmax were (3.38?.9) μg/ml and (3.29±0.87) μg/ml. The relative bioavailability of cefixime tablets to cefixime capsules was 102.8±19.7%. Conclusion: The results demonstrated that the two preparations were bioquivalent.
