Title: Effects of Heat Treatment Process on the Microstructures and Properties of 12Cr1MoV Steel
Abstract: The effect of heat treatment process on the mechanical property and microstructure of 12Cr1MoV steel was researched by traditional mechanical testing equipment and OM.The results of heat treatment showed that the tensile strength and yield strength have a little change and the impact toughness has a large increase with the increase of the normalizing temperature. The strength and toughness of the 12Cr1MoV steel under 910 ℃ and 930 ℃ normalizing change a little with the increase of the tempering temperature. The microstructures of 12Cr1MoV steel as all the hot rolled, normalized and normalized+ tempered are ferrite and pearlite. After 910 ℃ normalizing + 680 ℃ tempering, the grain size of ferrite is more fine and more homogenous than ones of 930 ℃ normalizing + 680 ℃ tempering, and the properties are basically the same.So it is feasible and reasonable to select the heat treatment of 910 ℃ normalizing + 680 ℃ tempering,so as to reduce the cost of steel production.
