Title: Clinical observation of liver dispersing with spleen strengthening and dampness-expelling on diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome
Abstract: [Objective]To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of liver dispersing with spleen strengthen and dampness-expelling on treatment of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D).[Methods]Eighty seven patients were divided into 2 groups randomly.In the herb group,66 cases were treated with the decoction of liver dispersing with spleen-strengthening and dampness expelling.In the western medicine group,21 cases were treated with Pinaverium Bromide.The course of treatment was 4 weeks.[Results](1) Based on the curative effect assessment system of this disease,the total effective rate of the herb group was 93.94%,while the western medicine was 61.90%,the difference between two groups had statistical significance(P0.01).(2) Based on the curative effect assessment system of TCM pattern,the total effective rate of the herb group was 89.39%,while the western medicine was 66.67%,the difference between two groups had statistical significance(P0.01).(3) The decoction of liver dispersing with spleen-strengthening and dampness expelling can effectively improve the main symptoms such as abdominal pain and distention,the frequency of defecation and the character of stool especially on the improvement of the frequency of defecation and the character of stool,it was superior to Pinaverium Bromide significantly(P0.01).[Conclusion]The therapy of liver dispersing with spleen-strengthening and dampness expellin on IBS-D has good clinical curative effect.
