Title: Effect of Ailuokechuanning oral liquid on IL-13 and TNF-α levels in rats with chronic bronchitis
Abstract: Objective: To study the effect of Ailuokechuanning oral liquid on tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α) and interleukin-13(IL-13) levels in plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) of rats with chronic bronchitis. Methods: Lipopolysaccharide(LPS) smoke was used to develop chronic bronchitis rat model;the experimental animals were randomly divided into normal control group, model group,Ailuokechuanning oral liquid group(5,10,20 mL·kg-1·d-1),Jizhitangjiang syrup control group;euzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to determine the change of TNF-α and IL-13 levels in rat plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in the rats of all groups before and after treatment. Results: The levels of IL-13 and TNF-α in plasma and BALF of the model group were significantly higher than those in normal control group;compared with the model group, the levels of IL-13 and TNF-α in plasma and BALF of the rats treated with Ailuokechuanning oral liquid significantly decreased. Conclusion:The mechanism of Ailuokechuanning oral liquid for treatment of chronic bronchitis may be related to the inhibition of TNF-α and IL-13 release.
