Title: Technical Characteristics of Main Bridge of Hutong Changjiang River Bridge
Abstract: The Hutong Changjiang River Bridge is a rail-cum-road bridge. The main bridge of the bridge is the cable-stayed bridge having span arrangement(142+462+1 092+462+142)m and is designed to carry 4-track railways and 6-lane expressways. The main girder is the steel truss girder structure and in the cross section, the structure is of the box beam and truss girder composite section. The main girder is comprised of three main trusses, the width of the trusses is 35mand the height is 16m.In the different sections of the truss girder, the steels Q500,Q420 and Q370of different strength grades are employed. The blocks of the truss girder are to be integrally manufactured in shop, utilizing the all-welding techniques. The longitudinal restraint way for the main girder is that the damping and limiting devices are to be set at the pylons and on the rest of all other piers, the sliding bearings are to be employed.A pylon of the bridge is of the diamond shape, the pylon is 325mhigh and is to be constructed with C60high performance concrete. The stay cables are formed by the high-strength parallel steel wires with the strength of each wire being 2 000MPa.The piers are to be supported on the caisson foundations, the lower parts of which are the steel structures and the upper parts are the concrete structures.
