Title: Investigation on prescriptions in outpatient clinics from 2006 to 2007 in our hospital
Abstract: Objective:To improve the quality of prescriptions and the rationality of drug use.Methods:Prescriptions in outpatient clinics of our hospital in 2006 and 2007 were randomly selected and the rationality and circumstances of drug use were analyzed.Results:8,400 prescriptions were selected for each year from 2006 to 2007.The irrational drug administration amounted to 3.89% and 3,37% of the total amount.The prescriptions of antibacterial agents amounted to 51.14% and 52.77% of the total amount;those for acute upper respiratory infection amounted to 31.50% and 35.31%.Conclusions:The quality of prescriptions in outpatient departments remains to be improved; doctors and pharmacists need more communication to get to a safe,effective,economical administration of drugs.
