Title: Design of communication system for AVR microcontroller based on Two-wire serial interface
Abstract: In order to solve the problems that exist in traditional communication system such as the lack of I/O ports of chips,huge system scale,the complexity in improving and expanding the system and so on,in this paper,by taking typical I2C device ZLG7290 and PCF8574 as an example,the design of communication system for AVR microcontroller based on Two-wire Serial Interface on the platform of ATmega16 is proposed.The hardware principle schematic and part of the software program of the system are presented.Comparison between the proposed system and the traditional one shows that it is feasible to simplify the system scale,to improve system reliability and to increase system scalability with Two-wire Serial communication method.
