Title: The Kinetics Study of O-hydroxycyclohexyl Acrylate Photopolymerization
Abstract: Real-time infrared spectroscopy(RTIR) technique was employed to investigate photopolymerization of o-hydroxycyclohexyl acrylate(HCA).The effect of light intensity, photoinitiator type and concentration on photopolymerization kinetics was studied. In addition, photopolymerization kinetics of HCA was compared with aliphatic hydroxyl-containing monomer, hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA).The results indicated that increasing of light intensity led to higher final double bond conversion and larger relative rate of polymerization;effect of photoinitiator concentration on conversion and rate varied according to different initiator types.Comparing with HEA,HCA exhibited higher polymerization rate and lower final double bond conversion.
