Title: Clinical observation on sedative effects of epidural anesthesia assisted with midazolam and fentanyl
Abstract: Objective To observe the sedative effects of epidural anesthesia assisted with midazolam and fentanyl. Methods 30 ASA Ⅰ~Ⅱ patients were randomly allocated into two groups(n=15).Group A(fentanyl 1.0μg/kg and midazolam 0.05mg/kg),group B(meperidine 1.0mg/kg and haloperidol 0.05mg/kg).Oblivion and sedation degree were noted after infusion. The sedation degree was evaluated by the Observer's Assessment of Alertness/Sedation(OAA/S) Scale. Results In group B OAA/S Scale was significantly higher compared with group A after infusion 5,10,30,60min(P0.05).In group A oblivion degree was significantly higher compared with group B after infusion 30,120min(P0.05).Conclusion Assisted epidural anesthesia with midazolam and fentanyl can provide perfect sedative and oblivious effect, the combination of midazolam and fentanyl is better than other intraoperative assisted drugs.
