Title: Clinical Effect of Chinese Medicine with Western Medicine Triple Therapy on the Treatment of 89 Duodenal Ulcer Patients
Abstract: Objective:To observe the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine triple therapy(rabeprazole combined amoxicillin,clarithromycin) on the treatment of duodenal ulcer patients.Methods: 176 patients with duodenal ulcer were randomly divided into 2 groups.89 patients in the treatment group were treated with Chinese herbs(Licorice root,white peony root,Pinellia,berberine,Gui,Angelica sinensis,Salvia,Corydalis,cuttlebone,Panax.etc.) combined with Western triple therapy whereas the 89 patients in the control group were simply with Western triple therapy.A review of endoscopy and 14 C urea breath test(14 CVBT) was conducted to observe Ulcer healing and Helicobacter pylori eradication rate 4 weeks after drug withdrawal.Results: The helicobacter pylori eradication rates and duodenal ulcer healing rates of the treatment group and the control group were 98.9%,88.8% and 96.7%,85.7% respectively.The comparison of 2 groups showed significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion: The traditional Chinese medicine combined the western triple therapy has a better effect on the duodenal ulcer patients.
