Title: Nitric oxide mediates brain injury induced by acute anoxia asphyxia in mice
Abstract: Objective To observe the dynamic change of nitric oxide(NO) contents in the cerebral tissues of mices of anoxia asphyxia. Methods Forty mices were divided randomly into five groups ,and anoxic modles were established by putting them in airtight bottles in four asphyxia groups, then the changes of NO contents in the cerebral tissues at different time after asphyxia were observed.Result The contents of NO began to increase at 30 minutes after asphyxia, there exists obviously difference compared with the control groups(P0.05).The contents of NO reache to maxmin at 48 hours after asphyxia, and then the contents of NO began to decease after 72 hours.Conculsion After actue asphyxia the content of NO increases significantly, and maybe NO mediates brain injury induced by acute asphyxia in mice.
