Title: Diagnostic value and comparison of hepatic cell carcinoma by contrast-enhanced ultrasound with the types of agents:SonoVue and Opeison
Abstract: ObjectiveTo investigate diagnostic value of hepatic cell carcinoma(HCC) in background of cirrhosis with two different contrast agents and compare their different perfusion patterns. Methods Sixteen HCC SD rats were randomly classified into two groups and were scanned with SonoVue or Opeison individually. All the contrast-enhanced ultrasound images were compared with final pathological findings. The perfusion procedure and enhanced pattern of two agents were analysed. Results There were 60 nodules in this study including 34 in SonoVue group and 26 in Opeison group. The number of nodules before and after contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the groups were 26(76.4%),32(94.1%) and 20(76.9%),24(92.3%),respectively.Time-intensity curve showed no difference between two groups with relative enhanced intensity and enhanced curve slope, which were obviously different from hepatic parenchyma(SonoVue group:t=5.126,P=0.02,Opeison group:t =5.891,P=0.01).The enhanced pattern of two groups was similar(P0.05)with rapid wash in and wash out. Conclusion Both SonoVue and Opeison can show blood perfusion of HCC,overcome limitations of routine ultrasound, and increase HCC diagnosis in the background of cirrhosis with obviously different diagnostic values.
