Title: Three dimensional conformal radiation therapy combined with interventionaI therapy for primary hepatic carcinoma
Abstract: Objective It is to evaluate the effects of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)combined with three dimensional conformal radiation therapy(3DCRT)for unresectable primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC).Methods 46 inoperable patients with hepatic cancer were treated by 3DCRT at 3.54~6-31 Gy once daily in 7 to 15 fractions. Results The complete response rate(fCR1)was 20.4%,PR was 39.5%,theoverall response rate(CR+PR) was60.4%.The 1,2,3 year survival rate was 59.2%,15.4%,10.1%,respectively.Cox analysis showed that tumor sizes5 cm.Biological effective dose≥60 Gy and portalvein tumor thrombus were the maior factors affecting survival in primary hepatocelluiar carcinomapatients. Conclusion TACE combined with 3DCRT is an effective and feasible approach with minimal trauma in the treatment of PHC.And no increase side effects.
