Title: Clinical efficacy of amiodarone combined with metoprolol for intravenous injection in treatment of tachyarrhythmia
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of amiodarone combined with metoprolol for intravenous injection in the treatment of tachyarrhythmia. Methods A total of 101 patients with tachyarrhythmia who visited our hospital from April 2011 to April 2013 were included in the study, and they provided informed consent for participation in this research program. These patients were randomly divided into study group(n=51) and control group(n=50). The control group received amiodarone, while the study group received amiodarone combined with metoprolol. The two groups were compared in terms of treatment outcome, incidence of adverse events, and changes in heart rate and blood pressure. Results The response rate of study group(96.08%, 49/51) was significantly higher than that of the control group(66.00%, 33/50)(P0.05). Both groups showed significant decreases in heart rate after treatment(P0.05), and the study group had a significantly higher decrease(P 0.05). After treatment, the study group showed a significant decrease in blood pressure(P 0.05), but the control group showed no significant decrease(P 0.05); the study group had a significantly higher decrease in blood pressure than the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Amiodarone for intravenous injection has better efficacy, causes fewer adverse events, and leads to more improvements in blood pressure and heart rate among patients with tachyarrhythmia when used in combination with metoprolol, so it holds promise for clinical application.
