Title: An investigation on views of kingdergarten teachers and young children's parents on young children's mental health
Abstract: The results of half-structured in-depth interview with 60 kingdergarten teachers and 60 parents showed that young children's mental health is reflected in personality, personal behaviors and ability, interpersonal communication and social adaptation, emotion and moral characters. The teachers' and parents' viewpoints about metal health show the characteristics of illegibility, empiricism and subjectivity and display the tendency of attaching importance to the external characters but neglect internal characters, and attaching importance to adaptation but neglect development.Besides, the judgments of kindergarten teachers are accurate and rational relatively, while those of parents of young children are more practical and utilitarian. Moreover, the formation of their viewpoints on mental health is influenced by traditional culture and value, their own role status, experiences and their cognitive levels.
