Title: Clinical Study of uterine artery embolization with sequential procedure for treating hysteromyoma
Abstract: Object To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect and safety of uterine artery embolization with sequential procedure on hysteromyoma. Method: Retrospectively analysis was made in two groups of patients with hysteromyoma received UAE. The experimental group (Group A) used pingyangmycin super-liquation iodipin cream gelatin sponge micro-powder, gelatin sponge stripe and the control group (Group B) used PVA granules(300□500Hm). Result: Compared with patients of Group B, the patients of Group A were a little more painful and had longerhospitalization but with lower rate of ectopia embolism. There was no ischemic and necrosis of uterus and secondary infection in group A. Group A was better than B in shortening menstrual period, decreasing menstrual blood volume and hysteromyoma volume, relieving tumor oppression symptom. There were fewer recrudescence in 12 and 24 months in group A than in group B. Conclusion: Uterine artery embolization with sequential procedure on hysteromyoma is safe, cheap and effective.
