Title: The discussion of three physical simulation experiments for oil and gas reservoir formation
Abstract: The physical simulation has already been an extremely method and way to discover the second migration and aggregation mechanism of oil and gas deeply. However, because the models of some physical simulation experiments cannot reflect the real conditions of the reservoir in its geological history, thus the wrong recognition of reservoir formation is caused.Combining with the practical data of exploration we have studied three physical simulations and experiments of R.J.Cordell et al.about the process of oil and gas migration and aggregation, and at the same time we also discussed the reservoir formation of sand lens. After having done this,we drew a conclusion that not all of the permeable sand rocks included in the hydrocarbon source rocks can be reservoirs,in order to form a reservoir, such necessary conditions as there being faults and fissures developing zones are needed, furthermore the faults and fissures must relate to each other. We drew a conclusion that theT model reservoir simulation experiment can only reflect the reservoir forming process mainly controlled by permeability under the difference of pressure, and cannot reflect that mainly controlled by buoyancy. The writers pointed out that we should strengthen the experiment of floating reservoir formation in order to recognize the reservoir formation mechanism thoroughly.
