Title: Preparation of Sn~(4+)-TiO_2 and Research of Photocatalytic Degradation of Phenol
Abstract: Sn4+-TiO2 composite photocatalysts have been prepared by stearic acid method. The size, structure, appearance and thermostable properties were analyzed by TEM and XRD. After calcination at 500℃ for 2h, 5%Sn4+-TiO2 powders show that the average particle diameter is about 14 nm .The photocatalytic oxidation properties were examined by the degradation of phenol. The results indicate that the photocatalytic activity of the composite particles is higher than that of pure ultrafine TiO2,and the optimum loading of SnO2 is 5.0%(in mole per cent). Under illumination by high-pressure Hg lamp, the results show that when initial concentration of phenol solution is 80 mg·L-1,a mount of catalyst is 1.0 g·L-1, pH is 4,the photocatalytic activity reach the maximum.
