Title: Effect analysis of vitrectomy in treatment of 120 eyes with proliferative diabetic retinopathy
Abstract: Objective To observe the curative effect of vitrectomy in treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy.Methods Data of 98 patients(120eyes) with proliferative diabetic retinopathy were retrospectively reviewed,especially in the change of visual acuity and the complications.Results Visual acuity improved after treatment accounted for 70.83%,no significant changes in visual acuity accounted for 17.50%,decreased visual acuity accounted for 11.67%.The retina was reattachment in 61(84.7%) with once operation of 72 eyes,retinal detachment reoccurred in 6 eyes,intraocular hemorrhage occurred in 8 eyes and 3 eyes occurred neovascular glaucoma.Conclusions Vitrectomy can provide considerable visual improvement,especially in the patients of PDR without macular area detachment.
