Title: STUDIES ON THE CULTURE OF INTERNODE OF FLOWER BRANCH OF CHINA ORCHID
Abstract: Internode cutting part of flower bud of Cymbidium ensifolium Sw. will differentiate directly flower bud and nutrient bud in the MS medium. Nutrient bud can form protocorm in the inducing condition. Latent bud in the explant node will differentitate flower bud in the MS medium containing BA(3-4mg/L), NAA (0.1mg/L) and GA3 (1mg/L);and it will sow quickly and flower in the culture tube,the flower rato of flower bud can reach 75%. The differentiation and growing of nutrient bud is slower than flower bud in the condition of the continuous illumination. The root will grow in the basal part of the nutrient bud,then develope graduately into new plantlet when transplanting it to the root-medium in the period of 2-3 leaies. The lateral bud of flower branch node will form pseudo-root stem in B5 medium containins BA (3. 8 - 5. 2mg/L). The second-protocorm will be induced from pseudo-root stem. Flower and nutrient buds can all be induced from second-protocorm and paeudo-root stem.
