Title: Study on Familial Aggregation in the Occurrence of Gastric Cancer
Abstract: We analyzed Familial Aggregation in the occurrence of gastric cancer (GC) on the basis of a population_based case_control study conducted and synthetically evaluated the role of genetic factor. There were 182 proband ancestries and 241 control ancestries. The result showed that the positive family history of GC in probands (22.53%) was higher than that in controls (10.79%,P0.01). The GC prevalence in first_degree relatives of probands (3.21%) was higher than that in controls (1.44%,OR=2.27, 95%CI1.38~3.73). The distribution of GC in the predigrees of probands was significantly different from that in controls. It is showed that there is significant familial aggregation in the occurrence of GC in the first_degree relatives of probands, and the GC family history is one of the important risk factors.
