Title: Synthesis of Dichloropropanols by Catalytic Chlorinated Glycerol
Abstract: The synthesis of dichloropronol from chlorinated glycerol using poly(aryl ether sulfone ether ketone ketone) having pendent carboxyl (PESEKK-A) as the main catalyst and PCl3 as catalyst promote was performed. The influence of catalytic efficiency of the mass ratio between PESEKK-A and PCl3 was also investigated. The result showed that the yield of dichloropronol was above 89.8%,when the amount of PESEKK-A and PCl3 was 4.0 and 1.5 percent of the mass of glycerol respectively. In this study, toluene dehydration,1,2-dichloroethane(DCE) continuous and intermittent dehydration technique were applied, which indicated that the yield of dichloropronol was over 92.4% using the intermittent dehydration process.Gas chromatography (GC) detected that the mass fraction of 1,3-dichloro-2-pronol was 96.9%. It showed that the synthesized dichloropropanols from catalytic chlorination glycerol was an effective and high selective method by optimized the technical conditions.
