Title: Comparative Analysis of Routine X-ray Film and CT in Evaluation of the Spinal Fracture
Abstract: Objective:To compare the routine X-ray film and CT scan in diagnosis of spinal fracture.Methods:110 cases of spinal fracture diagnosed by both X-ray radiography and CT scan were compared.Results:110 cases of the spinal fracture with 133 sites of fracture were evaluated,67 cases with smooth PVBL line in pateral radiography,43 cases with irregular PVBL border in different degree,52 cases of CT scan with stable spinal fracture,57 cases with unstable spinal fracture,11 cases without narrowing of spinal canal,19 cases with spinal canal narrowing. Conclusion:The routine X-ray radiography and CT scan are complementing each other for diagnosis of spinal traumatic fracture,X-ray radiography is the first choice, multiple continuous or uncontinuous fractures could be presented better.CT scan is necessary in evaluation of the stability and complications of spinal fracture, It is useful for mangement correctly in time.
