Title: Practice and Experience of Out-patient E-Prescription Evaluation in Our Hospital
Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To improve the quality of hospital prescription,and to promote rational use of drugs in the clinic.METHODS: 100 pieces of prescription were randomly selected each month during Jan.2009-Dec.2010.Prescriptions evaluation forms were filled in and analyzed in respect of drug category,utilization ratio of antibacterial drugs,injection and essential drugs,prescription amount.About 2 000 pieces of prescription in 3 d were randomly selected each month in 2010.Qualified rate and unqualified rate of prescription were analyzed according to the Hospital Management Standard of Prescription Comment (trials).RESULTS: Of 2 400 prescriptions,2.17 kinds of drugs were used and utilization ratio of antibacterials,injection and essential drugs were 29.50%,36.46% and 86.09%,respectively;prescription amount was 188.55 yuan;drug category decreased by 0.04%,utilization ratio of antibacterials increased by 3.5% and that of injections decreased by 1.25%;utilization ratio of essential drugs decreased by 3.28%;amount of each prescription decreased by 48.99 yuan.Qualified rate of about 24 000 prescriptions in 2010 increased from 86.55% in Jan.to 94.98% in Dec.CONCLUSIONS: The drug category of out-patient prescription in our hospital is up to the standards issued by WTO.The utilization ratio of essential drugs is in line with national policy and qualified rate of prescription increase continuously.Prescription evaluation should be our continuous pursuit.
