Title: Evaluation and analysis of out patient prescriptions in our hospital from 2006 to 2008
Abstract: Objective To investigate and analysis the medication of out-patient prescriptions before and after the implementation ofPrescription Administrative Measure.Methods We were randomly selected the hospital out-patient prescriptions 3 600 from 2006 to 2008,hased onPrescription Administrative Measure,the prescriptions were selected for an evaluation in respect of antibacterials,injections,prescribed drug were covered innational essential drugs,prescriptions with general name,the knowledge of patients on the administration and dosage,and so on.Results From 2006 to 2008,the average number of drugs per prescription were 3.4,2.5 and 1.6 in our hospital;the average costs of per prescription were $196.8,$141.7 and $98.6;the percentage of the use of antimicrobial agents were 61.2%,44.1% and 34.3%;the percentage of the injection use were 36.6%,25.4% and 14.5%;essential drugs for the prescription drugs percentage were 70.7%,74.6% and 79.1%;generic drugs accounted for the percentage of prescription drugs were 45.6%,86.7% and 98.1%.Conclusions We have been improved in every respects in our hospital after the implementation ofPrescription Administrative Measuresappropriate to the acquire of WHO,however,we may enforce the administration on the usuage percentage of the antimicrobials,and the usuage percentage of the generic drugs,and the usuage percentage of the essential drugs.
