Title: LEACHING TEST CONDITIONS FOR Cr(VI) IN CEMENT,FLY ASH AND CEMENT SOLIDIFIED FLY ASH AND THEIR INFLUENCING FACTORS
Abstract: The leaching test methods adopted in different countries were screened and the effect of various leaching conditions on the leachability of Cr(VI) in cement, fly ashes and hardened fly ash cement specimens were investigated. Also, the maximum leachable Cr(VI) amount in fly ash was determined correspondingly. The test results show that the leaching test conditions, such as placement time, temperature, mass ratio of leachate to solid, fineness, shaking frequency and the size of sample holder, have a great effect on the leaching behavior of Cr(VI) in cement, fly ashes and hardened fly ash cement specimens. Of these conditions, the effect of shaking time and leachate pH is more obvious. Based on the continuous leaching characteristics of Cr(VI) in fly ash specimens, a sequential extraction test method is proposed.
