Title: Analysis on the epidemiological characteristics of active tuberculosis cases notified in Changzhou City,2005-2011
Abstract: Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of tuberculosis in Changzhou City,in order to explore effective strategies for tuberculosis prevention and control.Methods The descriptive statistics was conducted on the tuberculosis cases notified from 2005 to 2011 in Changzhou City.SPSS 13.0 was applied for the statistical analysis.Results 19 336 cases of active tuberculosis were notified from 2005 to 2011 in Changzhou City,and the trend of cases notified basically declined year by year.The spear-positive cases of tuberculosis accounted for 44.00% of the total.Among them,the cases with first treatment occurred 89.67%.Of all the male cases accounted for 72.57%,and the male to female ratio was 2.65∶1.The cases aged from 25 to 44 and above 65 accounted for 47.18% and 21.88%,respectively.The cases of the farmers and the migrant workers occured by 57.37%.The cases were scattered and were not obviously related to seasonal peaks.Conclusions The tuberculosis cases notified are generally declined and unstable,we should strengthen the disease surveillance among floating workers and elder people in order to better control the occurence of tuberculosis.
