Title: Evaluation on Intervention Effect of Nutrition Education Among Pupils in Jiujiang County
Abstract: Objective To analyze the impact of different nutritional intervention avenues on pupils’ nutrition knowledge,attitude and behaviors so as to provide a scientific basis for correcting the bad eating habits of pupils.Methods With random cluster sampling method,3 primary schools in Jiujiang were selected and randomly divided into student-intervention group,parent-intervention group,and student-parent-comprehensive-intervention group.We conducted nutritional interventions through printed publicity materials,special lectures,nutritional knowledge training and other avenues.3 months after the intervention,the influence of different interventions on pupils’ nutrition knowledge,attitude and behaviors was surveyed.Results After the intervention,all pupils’ nutrition knowledge,attitude and behaviors were improved in different degrees.The effect of student-parent-comprehensive-intervention was superior to those of student-intervention group and parent-intervention group,and the differences were statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusions Parental nutrition knowledge and attitude have obvious influence on children’s nutrition knowledge,attitude and behaviors,and the close cooperation between the school and the family is essential and feasible.
