Title: Study on Characterization of Anoxic Phosphorus Uptake in EBPR-MBR
Abstract: An enhanced biological phosphorus removal(EBPR) membrane bioreactor was utilized to treat the synthetic wastewater.92.6%of COD and 77%of TN can be removed in the case of 0.08 kg- C0D/(kgMLSS ? d) and 0.015 kgN/(kgMLSS ? d),and the effluent concentrations of COD and TN are 20.8 mg/L and 12.41 mg/L respectively.When HRT is 15.5 h and the nitrification liquid reflux ratio is 400%,phosphorus release rate of PAOs is increased from 4.2 mgPO_4~(3-)- P/(gMLSS ? h) on 21st day to 9.49 mgPO_4~(3-) -P/(gMLSS ? h) on 60th day,and phosphorus uptake rates of DPAOs and PAOs are increased from 1.95 mgPO_4~(3-)-P/(gMLSS ? h) and 6.29 mgPO_4~(3-)-P/(gMLSS ? h) to 5.47 mgPO_4~(3-) - P/ (gMLSS ? h) and 11.13 mgPOj -P/(gMLSS ? h) respectively.The ratio of DPAOs to PAOs is increased from 31%to 49%,the anoxic phosphorus uptake is increased by 6.6 mg/L and the anoxic phosphorus removal rate is increased from 46.8%to 85.3%.Although the phosphorus uptake rates of PAOs and DPAOs are increased in the steady operation stage,the increase rates are lower than those during DPAOs accumulation,DPAOs/PAOs ratio tends to stabilize at 50%or so,and membrane retention of colloid phosphorus ensures that the concentration of TP is 0.26 mg/L on average.
