Title: Analysis of Long-term Curative Effect on Radically Curing Open-Circuit Mastoidectomy with Tympanoplasty
Abstract: Objective To study the long-term effect on chronic suppurative otitis media(cholesteatoma or granulation tissue). Methods Summarizing 86 cases of radically curing open-circuit mastoidectomy with tympanoplasty on stage 1 and studying their long-term effect as well as advantages and disadvantages, all of who were treated from 2001 to 2004 and followed up for more than three years. Results The aerial conduction of the long-team acoustic sensibility raised 17dB compared to pre-operation and the rate of long-term relapse was 4.7% after the radically curing open-circuit mastoidectomy with tympanoplasty. Conclusion It is worth properly applying in clinic because its long-term effect is quite good and the relapse rate is low.
