Title: Effects of Water-Fertilizer Interaction on Content of N-Containing Compounds in Flue-cured Tobacco
Abstract: [Objective] To explore the effects of water-fertilizer interaction on the content of main N-containing compounds in flue-cured tobacco.[Method] During 2007~2008,taking tobacco cultivar Yunyan 87 as the tested material,a field test was conducted under different water-fertilizer interaction conditions.[Result] Different water-fertilizer treatments had great effect on the content of main N-containing compounds, the content of N-containing compounds in treatment T8 and T5 was all in the appropriate range;the nicotine content in treatment T8 was the most appropriate, while the total content of chlorophyll was the lowest.Under the condition of applying 60 kg/hm2 nitrogen fertilizer, the irrigation in occasion of drought could reduce the content of total nitrogen, nicotine and chlorophyll in tobacco leaves.[Conclusion] In view of N-containing compounds in the leaves of flue-cured tobacco, the best combination of water and fertilizer was applying 60 kg/hm2 pure nitrogen,120 kg/hm2 P2O5 and 180 kg/hm2 K2O on the basis of sufficient irrigation(keeping the field water-holding capacity to be over 75%).
