Abstract: Block Xinhai 27 is a thick massive heavy oil reservoir with edge/bottom water,using vertical wells pattern exploration by natural energy.Bottom water coning,edge water incursion and leakage in outer case lead to the serious water flooding,and reservoir in danger of being wasted under the situation of low production and efficiency.The ultimate recovery of the first production is 15.3%.As for the problem s of residual oil spattering and vertical water increasing quickly,a system for the primary recovery evaluation is developed by further study on the preceding of secondary development,including the secondary logging interpretation,fine reservoir description,exploitive law research on heavy oil reservoir with bottom water,and studying on water flooding and residual oil distribution.It is providing correct accordance to the secondary development.From 2004 to 2007,constructing and applying 5 technique features adapting to reservoir,which figured the technique application 's pertinence,advancement and large scale.The secondary exploration made a prominent progress that the amount of this block production increased from 10000t to 120000t per year,which means the production rate is 10 times higher than before.What's more,the ultimate recovery efficiency increase 2 times,and the wasted reservoir has been explored again.
